Making things from a pattern

Make as many as you like, for yourself or as gifts. Whether you may sell the finished item is the original designer's call: their page, linked at the foot of the pattern, is where that answer lives. Where no source is known, treat it as personal use only.

Copying the pattern text

The instructions on each page were written by the designer named on it. Do not copy them onto another site, into a book, into a kit or into a paid download. Link to the page instead; links are always fine.

Photographs

The photographs belong to whoever took them, which is nearly always the original designer. They are shown here to illustrate the pattern and for no other purpose. Do not lift them.

Errors

A round that does not come out is either a mistake in the source, a mistake in the transcription here, or a difference in tension. The page does not add stitch counts the designer did not give; where a count is printed it is theirs. Write in if something does not add up and it will be checked against the source.

The filing

The feel a pattern is filed under, and its texture map, are produced by this site by reading the rounds. They describe the fabric the stitches make and are not a review of the pattern or its designer.
